Top Five Books for Entrepreneurs

If you’re in my Facebook community, you know that I *LOVE* to talk about books. Every Wednesday I encourage the members to share their recent reads – whether for fun or business.

This week, I’d love to share with you my top five favorite books for entrepreneurs and why I’ve found them essential in business.

Favorite Book #1 – Thank & Grow Rich

I only just recently read this book by I’m absolutely going to dive back into it again soon! Pam Grout provides such amazing insight into living a life of gratitude and setting your intentions for the day, plus I just love her personality throughout it. This is most certainly the book for you if you need a bit of a nudge to be more grateful throughout your daily life.

Favorite Book #2 – Global Voices Social Media

I bought this book when I read the preview and saw that “Mama Kipp” had shared her story. I’ve been a HUGE fan of The Daily Love and Mastin Kipp for over 10 years now, so this pulled me in quick. This book contains stories from 25 different women and oh.my.goodness it’s so inspirational! I firmly believe that every person has a story worth sharing – watch my livestream on that here – so reading these 25 stories was an absolutely empowering experience. Man or woman, this book is worth checking out, particularly since it’s only $0.99 right now!

Favorite Book #3 – The Big Leap

I bought this book via my Audible subscription and really loved listening to Gay Hendricks read his own book. There’s such a power behind this book, made all the more evident through his reading of it. Through The Big Leap, we learn about “upper-limiting” – a sort of ceiling we establish for ourselves, a comfort zone that keeps us held back from reaching our full potential. If you find yourself often bordering on burn out or “coincidentally” getting sick every time you take two steps forward towards success, you absolutely need to read this book.

Favorite Book #4 – 15 Secrets Successful People Know about Time Management

I’ve read dozens of different books on time management, but this is the one that I always circle back to. Kevin Kruse totally speaks my language (hello, love of efficiency!) but he also provides a ton of actionable tips and “tricks” for those who are new to the world of time management. So much of what he suggests are things you can implement immediately, taking so much stress off your shoulders and living out a fuller, happier, healthier life. If you want to learn to better respect your own time, check this one out for sure!

Favorite Book #5 – How to Blog for Profit (Without Selling Your Soul)

This was the very first book I bought when I decided to launch my first for-profit blog. I absolutely adore Ruth Soukup and her writing style. While this book isn’t necessarily a riveting read for those who are more experienced in the wonderful world of blogging, I felt it still earns a place on this list because it brings to light certain things we tend to forget – like being mindful of your “voice” and how to better streamline your efforts. If you have an online business that doesn’t include a blog in your business model, you should most definitely check out this book and discover how to reach out to your target market in a more efficient manner.

I’d love for you to comment below and let me know if you’ve read any of these before, or if you have others you’d suggest. I’m always looking for new reads!
